Finding the right Zermatt luxury hotel can make or break your trip and trust me, I learned this firsthand. Before our Switzerland trip I spent an embarrassing amount of time researching every luxury hotel in Zermatt, comparing views, spa facilities, ski access and value. Consider this the list I wish I’d had. From ski-in ski-out resorts with direct Matterhorn views to cozy Alpine retreats and one very unique igloo experience these are the 11 best Zermatt luxury hotels worth every franc. I’ve stayed at #1 and #2 myself and would go back in a heartbeat!

When I say I do my research on hotels… I mean I reallllly do my research. Looking at and comparing hotels and ratings is one of my hobbies! Who said where you stay on a vacation doesn’t matter?! Below is a comprehensive list of the most luxury hotels in Zermatt I would personally stay at.
11.La Vue – Zermatt Luxury Living Appartements
If you are into more of an Airbnb/apartment style hotel, La Vue in Zermatt is for you. With beautiful 2-5 bedroom in each apartment, this is perfect for a family looking for more space. Not to mention still having breath taking mountain views and indoor spa facilities.

10. Igul Dorf – Zermatt
This is a VERY unique experience and once in a lifetime at Iglu Dorf – Zermatt. Iglu Dorf is an igloo hotel in the mountains of Zermatt. While not your traditional luxury hotel, each igloo is equipped with warm and comfortable expedition sleeping bags atop insulated beds, ensuring guests stay cozy throughout the night despite the icy surroundings. Some of the rooms even having their own hot tubs! Again, not your conventional hotel but worth a mention in this luxury line up for its uniqueness and beautiful terrace views. I didn’t personally stay here but went here for drinks and it was so freaking cool! With some of the best views of the Matterhorn.

Located in the heart of Zermatt, this chic palace will give you all the feel good vibes. From the perfect indoor pool, and 3 onsite restaurants you will leave here feeling so refreshed and relaxed.

3. The Omnia
The Omnia Hotel stands out as a jewel in Zermatt’s crown, offering a unique blend of luxury, design, and hospitality, making it an ideal retreat for discerning travelers seeking privacy, comfort, and an intimate connection with nature. One of the coolest and diverse spa facilities in Zermatt. The Omina most definately screams luxury. With only 30 rooms, free breakfast, amazing Matterhorn views, you will undoubtedly have a luxurious stay here.
2. Riffelalp Resort 2222m
We recently stayed here on New Years Eve and this is one of the most unique hotels I’ve stayed at. Located in Riffelalp, just a short stop from Zermatt city center. You are greeted with a snowmobile transfer from the station to the hotel, talk about luxury! Perfect for those looking for a unique stay in Zermatt. Oh the beef tartar is also one of the best in the world!

1. BEAUSiTE Zermatt
I will preface this by saying I’m 100% bias. We stayed here on our visit to Zermatt and wow this place really suprised me! I don’t think the pictures online do the BEAUSiTE Hotel justice. The Beausite Hotel is ideally situated for exploring Zermatt’s natural wonders, with easy access to hiking trails, ski slopes, and the village center. From the cozy rustic rooms, to the spa amenities including outdoor/indoor hot tubs, infrared therapies and so much more. BEAUSiTE was a stand out hotel and worth every penny.

Conclusion
You can’t go wrong with any of these 11 luxury Zermatt hotels. From the cozy fires, Matterhorn views and immaculate spas, you are bound to have the experience of a life time in the Swiss Alps.
