St. Moritz is where breathtaking natural beauty meets lavish comfort, offering everything from silky-smooth ski slopes to gourmet dining . This itinerary will guide you to ensure you soak up every bit of adventure and excitement St. Moritz has to offer.

Imagine gliding across Lake St. Moritz, shopping in chic boutiques, and unwinding in plush accommodations. This is your ticket to experiencing the best of St. Moritz, where every day is a masterpiece of luxury, culture, and stunning alpine views. Let’s make your 3-day stay in this exclusive resort town an unforgettable journey into the heart of high society and luxury.

Day 1

Okay so Day 1 you’re going to spend most of the day getting to St. Moritz. I highly recommend taking the Glacier Express from Zermatt (assuming you start in Zermatt) to St. Moritz. This once in a lifetime luxury train ride is one you will never forget. In excellence class you will enjoy a 5 course meal accompanied by wine with each dish and breath taking, polar express looking views of the Swiss Alps. If you would like to learn more here is my in-depth review of the Glacier Express. Once you touch down in St. Moritz, take it easy. Enjoy your hotel amenities, walk around the quaint town of St Moritz, prepare for a full day of fun!

Day 1 Food:

  • Sunny Bar: A refreshing take on Swiss cuisine located in the Kulm Hotel. Sunny bar is a fusion of Swiss and British cusine by the famous Chef Tom Booton. You will have a memorable evening. Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • Pavarotti Wine Bar: We stumbled across this cute little wine bar walking around St. Moritz, super cute atmosphere.

Day 1 Activities

  • Shopping: Shopping but of course! The luxury stores are endless in St. Moritz. Even if Hermes, Chanel and Cartier aren’t in your budget, window shopping and seeing all the fashion is still fun.
  • Skiing: You know skiing and snowboarding are always in the cards for luxury wintery destinations like St Moritz!
  • Walking around St Moritz on day 1 is more than enough to fill your day. From the lake views, luxury stores and Swiss chocolate you will find plenty to explore.

Day 2

Of course St. Moritz has some of the loveliest ski runs in all of Switzerland. For my winter sport fanatics, take this day to explore the different resorts up and down the Swiss Alps. For my travelers who are adventurer seekers but not quality skiers, I have the day for you! On Day 2 take the trip from St Moritz to Bergun and Preda for some sledding (or as the Swiss call it sledging). This was one of our best days going up and down the hills on our sleds. There are 2 different runs, one more difficult than the other (but no seriously, the more difficult run is kinda scary, wear good shoes!)

Day 2 Food:

  • Hanselmann: Super cute coffee/chocolate shop. Stop in and have a coffee and pastry while walking around St. Moritz.
  • Restaurant Chesa al Parc: We had dinner here on Day 2 and not to be dramatic but it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. From the appetizers, bread with tomato butter, to the entrees, I would come back to St. Moritz just to eat this meal again.

Day 2 Activities:

  • Sledding: You HAVE to go sledding in Preda/Bergun. It was one of the highlights of our trip. There was 2 runs both taking about 10-20 minutes to get down.
  • Ice Skating: Go ice skate on Lake St. Moritz or Chesa al Parc
Sledding in Preda a few train stops away from St. Moritz

Day 3

St Moritz has some of the best day club/apres ski experiences. Day 3 we took the time to visit Paradiso in the breathing mountains of the Swiss Alps. You can definitely ski-in/ski-out of Paradiso, but we decided to walk. You take the private ski lifts from Suvretta House up. Once there it is about a 10-15 minute walk to Paradiso. With good food, good music and stunning views, you cannot go wrong visiting Paradiso.

Day 3 Food

  • Paradiso: Mentioned above. 100% make reservations and asked to be seated on the edge with unobstructed mountain views.
  • Afternoon tea at the Carlton sun terrace
  • Trutz: Another mountain high, ski-in/ski-out spot close to Paradiso.
  • Chez Veglia: We had a nice rustic Swiss dinner here on our last night. They have an upstairs that is more causal and a pizzeria. Downstairs is more fine dining. To be honest I think we would have preferred the upstairs pizzeria but it was still great!

Day 3 Activities

  • Piz Nair: Ride up to Piz Nair for breath taking views
  • Olympic bob sledding: I am so sad we missed out doing this when in St. Moritz. Book this in advance if you can! There were actual races the day we wanted to go so look ahead.
  • Ice Kart Celerina – St Moritz- Pista dei Campioni: I found this on instagram and it seriously looked like so much fun. It is go-karting in the snow just outside of St Moritz.

Frequently Asked Questions

Depends on your interest! I am a little bias but I highly recommend going in the winter even if you don’t ski. There are so many events going on in January/February and of course who doesn’t love a winter wonderland.
