Hotel Review: 4 Nights at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Cabo, Is it worth your money?
Hotel Review of Pueblo Bonito Pacifica All Inclusive
Step into a world where luxury meets the enchanting charm of Cabo San Lucas at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. This all-inclusive resort, nestled along the Baja Peninsula, offers a coastal elegance with an all inclusive deal. From the first glimpse of the oceanfront oasis to the exquisite details of your suite, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica promises a retreat where every moment is crafted with care.
First Impressions & What’s Included
We know the saying “First impressions are everything” and that is 1000% true when it comes to staying in a hotel. Upon arrival to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica you are greeted by staff members who help you check in. Our room was ready early, which is always nice. We were given a run down of the property and our all inclusive package, meaning all food and beverages are included (alcoholic and non alcoholic). At Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, not only are the restaurants at this resort included, but also the amenities and restaurants at their Cabo sister resorts (Pueblo Bonito Rose, Los Cabos, and Sunset Beach)! There a ton of options to choose from when taking this into consideration.
The Room
My first impressions of the room were okay. I was immediately turned off by the fact we had 2 queen beds instead of 1 king (I was traveling with my boyfriend so king beds are always appreciated lol). The views from the room were standard resort views and it had all the typical room supplies. I expressed to the front desk that I would have preferred 1 king bed instead of 2 queens. They were nice enough to let us switch rooms the following day (we stayed for 4 nights). Our second room had a much better view with mountains in the backdrop, I truly appreciated them accommodating our request. Never be afraid to ask for a room change, I chicken out sometimes too but if it will make your trip more memorable go for it!
Restaurants & Food
Siempre: This restaurant is the main breakfast buffet restaurant at the resort. It was very standard with a BOY omelet station and self serve plates. We did stay over New Years Eve/Day and they had so much more variety and food out for the occasion. If you are coming over a holiday I would expect something similar at this spot. The service was excellent 🙂
Peninsula: This was hands down our favorite place to eat! So much that we ate here 2 nights in a row. This was the type of restaurant I would actually pay good money at to eat back home, it was a little hard to believe it was a part of the all inclusive package. Peninsula is an upscale Mexican cuisine resturant and it did not disappoint. From the pozole, tamales, tacos, everything was magnificent. I truly wish I could re-eat the tamales (our waiter was kind enough to give us a couple to take back to the room!) The service was fast and amazing, be sure to make reservations here ahead of time.
The Bistro (Sunset): We ventured out one night to the sister resort closet to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, Pueblo Bonito Sunset. I was underwhelmed by this resort and it solified that we made a good choice to stay at
Room Service: It was uncertain at first whether or not room service was included in the all inclusive package.. but guess what.. it is! It was really nice to have that option on late nights when we wanted a snack or some desert delivered to the room. I will say service was hit or miss, sometimes things came fast and other times it was slow (I think it dependent on time of day).
Pool side food: The pool side food was sooo good. I’m not 100% which restaurant in came from or if they have a specific kitchen to pool side guests. The taco salad and ceviche were our favorite!
I did not try every restaurant in Pueblo Bonito Pacifica or the sister resorts. I have inserted a picture below of the list of all the restaurants and bars at all of the Pueblo Bonito Resorts in Cabo if you would like to do some more research yourself 🙂
Amenities
Gym: I did go to the gym everyday I was there and it say one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve ever worked out at. They have an actual locker room to change and put your stuff in. The machines and free weights exceeded my expectations for a hotel gym.
Pool: The pool area was great. The main pool had a lot of sun and the chairs were super comfy chairs. There was another pool too but the chair was not as comfy. The hot tub was also great during the chilly nights, although I wish there were some lights in or around the hot tub.
Pros & Cons
Below are a list of pros and cons I did not mention in other sections of the article. These will be helpful if you are trying to deicide if Pueblo Boninto Pacifica is right for you
Pros:
- I say this respectfully but no kids was a pro. As a group of 4 adults, it was important for us to have an adult only resort. Their sister resort up the street, Pueblo Bonito Sunset is perfect for those with kids.
- The service was really great at Pueblo Bonito, no complaints there
- As I mentioned above, this is the best all inclusive hotel I’ve ever stayed at in terms of food quality.
- Very quiet, minimal noise. Perfect for a tranquil getaway.
Cons:
- The restaurants close kinda early. I think the latest reservation you could get was like 9pm. It was a little disappointing but room service was available until 2-3am so we were still able to get late night snacks.
- Pool seating was kinda hard to find if you didn’t get there first thing in the morning. People tend to leave their stuff on chairs and claim before anyone else can get down by the pool. Highly recommend getting there early to get your seats.
- Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is on a beautiful hill top. However, it is far away from downtown Cabo. If you are interested in nightlife, that is something to consider. It is about a 20-30 min drive from downtown Cabo and can be difficult late at night to get a taxi.
- Pueblo Bonito Pacifica has no beach access. This part of Cabo has very strong currents that are not safe to swim in. Therefore, you cannot access the water at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. You can walk the beach and it’s obviously very pretty to look at but don’t expect to get in the water.
Final Thoughts & Hotel Rating
This is truly one of the nicest all inclusive hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, gives you the luxury hotel feel with the all inclusive option. You do not have to buy into the all inclusive package but I highly recommend doing so. You will be saving so much money on food and drinks by doing so. I rate my stay a 8.1/10, it was everything I was looking for in a relaxing getaway to Cabo San Lucas. If you’re interested in more luxury hotel reviews, check out my next blog post <3
